Report of the State Office for the Care of Monuments in Sweden which carried out an examination of damages to altarpieces, polychromed wooden sculptures and other church furniture of wood in 55 churches in three parts of the country. 712 objects originating from the Middle Ages to the 18th century were examined and 88% showed damages; of the items from the Middle Ages the figure was 100%.
