Painted test panels in Puerto Rico were found to be infected with various kinds of microorganisms after 0, 2, 4 and 8 weeks exposure. Isolation and examination led to the identification or 13 molds. 2 yeasts and 15 bacteria. Describes culturing techniques. The possible role of these organisms in paint deterioration is discussed briefly. -- AATA
