Samples of <i>Pinus massoniana, Schima superba, Eucalyptus umbellata, E. robusta, Larix dahurica (gmelinii)</i> and <i>Populus simonii</i> were treated by acetylation, metal oxide, or polyethylene glycol. Acetylation was the most effective treatment against the shrinkage due to changes in moisture content. -- AATA
