Abstract
Holes in paper can be filled in by weaving new paper into them. A recurator machine has been used for this, paper pulp being drawn into the gaps by a partial vacuum. Gives the history of this process and allied processes and the method of use is described using the authors' experiences. In particular, drying can be a problem. -- AATA
