Abstract
A cool display case was made for a vellum document. A close fitting airtight container was used. This maintained a nearly constant relative humidity on cooling, but care was needed to minimize temperature gradients. Thermoelectric coolers were used. The case performed satisfactorily for one year with no change in internal moisture content.
