Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe the three approaches to climate control that were attempted in the recently completed Egyptian galleries of the Metropolitan Museum. Reasons are presented for the gradual evolution away from air-conditioned cases toward the use of sealed cases within air-conditioned gallery spaces. The procedure used for testing these sealed cases is described.
