Views of certain sociological motivations of various professionals engaged in restoration activities - of administrators, scientists, museum curators, art historians, and restorers. An explanation is given for the differences of opinion, depending upon the individuals' respective backgrounds, which affect evaluations of methods, processes, and final results.
