Abstract
Mossbauer spectroscopy is an effective method for studying the hyperfine interactions of solid materials. It is a non-destructive, high-resolution method with high-sensitivity and strong interference-resistance. Mossbauer spectroscopy has been used extensively in archaeological studies. This research briefly introduces the applications of Mossbauer spectroscopy to the study of ancient pottery, porcelains, glazes, copper and other metal objects and mural paintings. Further potential applications of Mossbauer spectroscopy in this field are also discussed.
