Abstract
Despite the huge number of prehistoric bronzes known, and the quite large number of copper ingots, unalloyed tin remains are almost unknown from the pre-Roman times in Europe. This paper discusses the problem and speculates that the tin may have been introduced into the copper directly from the ore. The ores of tin and their occurrence are discussed in detail together with a complete description of their appearance. -- AATA
