Cemeteries and tombstones in this area coincide with the settlements along both river banks. The structure and design of the tombs are discussed. Special attention is given to the Romanesque and Gothic elements (somewhat altered by local craftsmen). Archaeological aspects of medieval tombstones are also discussed. -- AATA
