Abstract
Description of the Winterthur (Delaware, USA) fire department and the firm alarm system for the museum collection. The American district telegraph surveillance monitored at a central station and at the security desk is described. The systems used for the conservation and library facilities and for the textiles storage area are also described. The training of the fireman volunteers as well as their responsibilities and duties are discussed.
