This limestone is undergoing a rapid process of weathering which takes place in connection with the main constituents of the rock (grains and matrix) or of the organic structures (fossils) and the inorganic ones (stylolites, recemented cracks, laminations, dessiccation cracks and sheet cracks). The decay processes caused by rain and condensation with the presence of salts are described and calcite, trona, halite and gypsum identified. See also AATA 19-1790. -- AATA
