The work of transferring wall paintings from a ruined wall portion of an ancient building in Amber (Rajasthan) was undertaken to save it from complete destruction. Technique applied was Distacco. The procedure adopted, including the chemical used to fix the paint layers to surface during operation, is also described. -- AATA
