Described is a technique of making photographic prints by a non-silver process-the Cyanotype (also called Blueprint and ferroprussiate ). This method has been used for sensitizing paper or cloth (or other materials) by first sizing with gelatin, albumen, starch, then applying a solution made of 25 grams ferric ammonium citrate dissolved in 125 ml distilled water, and 17 grams potassium ferricyanide in 125 ml distilled water, with each solution stored separately. For use, equal parts are combined and brushed on the material to be sensitized. Exposure is made by contact printing onto the sensitized material with any UV-rich light source. Fixing and stabilization is achieved by a water wash. Stable prints are said to result. Cautions are included. -- AATA
