Recommends in-situ dyeing on Oriental carpets to enhance faded or worn areas, using the Isolan dyes by Bayer-Leverkusen, thickened with Acracons, a thickening emulsion. The carpets were then treated for 15 minutes with low pressure steam at 5 atmospheres and washed vigorously in an anionic detergent at pH 12 at 40°C. The author states that the new dyes did not run.
