Abstract
Discusses the requirements of a painting packing case and describes the materials, construction, and guiding principles behind a number of standard-size cases-such as those used by the National Gallery, London/Dristyle products Ltd., Tate Gallery, London, Schenker, Ferranti ORE, Art Networks. (Addresses of suppliers are provided in the appendix.) Author enumerates the benefits of standard size cases which she believes offset the initial high cost. See AATA 20-1954 and 21-84 for methods of transporting works.
