Discusses the improper application of hard auxiliary supports as a technique of conservation and preservation. Historic survey covers the use of mineral fiberboards, Eternit, plywood, block boards, wood fiberboards, chipboards, semi-hard supplementary supports, and aluminum boards; their disadvantages are described.
