An account of the restoration of these wall paintings, starting from the history of the church, the planning of the restoration, and the materials used in construction of the paintings. The author explains the climate of the church, the retouching problems and how they were solved, as well as all the materials used for the restoration such as for cleaning, carboxy methyl cellulose, ethanol, Komplexon Past, Paraloid B72 for the conservation of paint layer, mortar consolidation with Plexol, mortar reconstruction with soaked lime, and retouching using watercolors.
