Abstract
Because there were doubts about the authenticity of these paintings, they were examined analytically. The pigments were determined, using microscopy, infrared spectremetry, and x-ray diffraction. The results obtained showed that the pigments used by the painter were currently in use at the end of the 19th and in the outset of the 20th centuries. Accordingly, this evidence eliminated the doubts which had initiated the examination. -- AATA
