Abstract
A cornice was inadvertently knocked off an inner oak door. The repair is described; New Elmer's Professional Carpenter's Wood Filler was built up around an armature of brads. A Victorian Oak stain did not match the weathered wood; burnt umber oil pigment applied directly from the tube to the wet coating of stain achieved the proper color match. -- AATA
