Abstract
An alternative statistical approach to the dating of floating tree-ring sequences by examining the scatter of its radiocarbon dates about an independently derived calibration curve is presented. The method is applicable to even very short chronologies with two or three radiocarbon dates. See also AATA 9-511, and 10-552.
