Italian paper is only found in Cracovian prints produced in the first half of the 16th century. Out of 1000 books examined, 40 were printed on Italian paper. From 1500 to 1550, eight printers were active in Cracow -- four of them used paper from Italy, some of which was of very good quality and some of poor and bad quality. -- AATA
