This second part of a two part study of John Constable drawings in the collections of the Yale Center for British Art and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mellon considers a number of drawings and watercolors which Rhyne has reattributed to Alfred Abram Constable, Lionel Bicknell Constable, Thomas Stothard, James Orrock, and a number of anonymous artists. In the text which precedes the catalogue of 25 works (media, paper type, technique, method of mounting are identified for each), Rhyne discusses the role that Orrock played in the production and dissemination of John Constable imitations. -- AATA
