The specific characteristics of natural light used in museums make it a perfect lighting mode for exact color rendition, but unfortunately also a potential source of danger to the collections. After three samples of blue wool were submitted to discoloration experiments, it was decided to use self-adhesive films on windows. Cautious use of natural light in museums can offset its nefarious effects while preserving its ability to achieve excellent color rendition.
