Abstract
The synthetic pyrethroid permethrin, a reasonably stable insecticide with low mammalian toxicity, has been found to be effective against German cockroaches <i>(Blattella germanica) and rust-red flour beetles <i>(Tribolium castaneum). The toxic effects noted when permethrin was compared with other commercially available insecticides on glazed tiles, filter papers and vinyl tiles were found to be unchanged after 104 days. -- AATA
