Some of the misconceptions concerning the flammability properties of chlorinated hydrocarbons and their admixtures with aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons were investigated. Precautions are given for the testing of flash point and interpretation of observations during testing. Definitions are provided for describing the fundamental flammability properties of liquids. -- AATA
