Abstract
Previous esr and nmr studies of plant resins such as colophony indicated the presence of a polymeric structure. The intrinsic esr signal in resins is described together with the effect of uv-and gamma-irradiation on this signal. The possible use of esr for the dating of plant resins is discussed.
