The experts of the Voivodinian Provincial Institute for the Protection of Monuments of Culture together with other experts outside this institution have conducted ethnological and architectural investigations of the Slovakian settlement of Backi Petrovac. The results of the two-year research have been concerned with the determination of the monumental value of the settlement's nucleus as well as of other units in the settlement, of which some are protected by law. The protected nucleus of the settlement, the Mokic Street, is treated as an ethnoenvironment. The necessary conservation documentation (textual, photographic, and technical) was prepared for all the monumental units and individual structures. -- AATA
