Abstract
Baldcypress is proposed for use in developing millennia-long dendrochronologies in the southeastern United States, due to its sensitivity to climate, longevity, and excellent preservtion. In addition to using baldcypress tree-ring chronologies for the dating of such remains in archaeological deposits, the authors discuss the potential of calibrating other independent dating methods with this data. -- AATA
