Abstract
Before displaying, all rugs must be washed if dirty, and repaired if ragged. Methods of carrying out this conservation and restoration work are discussed and examples of problems given. Advice is given on display and the use of rolled storage for rugs. Environmental conditions are covered as are fumigation techniques. Advice is given on packing for shipping.
