Station Square is a major adaptive reuse project in Pittsburgh which provides a complete case study of the historic preservation of large industrial and engineering structures in the context of comprehensive planning of an entire site. This project should prove to be a great asset to the city, aesthetically and educationally as well as commercially. In addition to acting as a new focus for native Pittsburghers, the project should prove to be an exciting attraction for the city's visitors. It is hoped that it will demonstrate Pittsburgh's colorful industrial and transportation history, while at the same time operating on a commercial basis.
