Sums up the previous years' correspondence of conservators in Paper Conservation News about removal of tape stains. Adds the procedure of William Spawn, to be done only with a fume hood. First soak the sheet in a small amount or carbon tetrachloride for 30 minutes in a photo tray covered with a sheet of glass. Remove tape, blot off surplus adhesive and dry in hood. Spot swab with tetrahydrofuran after testing inks.
