Abstract
In continuation with Part IV of <i>Maltechnik, Issue 4, 1978, pp. 263 ff., the workshops of the Germanische Museum in Nuremberg conducted experiments with various types of pure shellac polishes including those prepared from historical recipes. These experiments were partially so promising that their results deserve being briefly disclosed here.
