Abstract
This helmet has a skeleton of six metal spans. It is made of bronze and iron decorated with copper. The corroded iron parts were restored with gypsum at the beginning of the century. Before restoration the helmet was photographed in normal and u.v. Light, x-rayed and analyzed chemically. The processes of corrosion were stabilized. Old restorations were removed; the metal was treated with silicon-spray and polyethylene. It was consolidated, cleaned with alcohol, acidum tannicum, DAB and finally with wax.
