Abstract
The washing and deacidification of book leaves is a time consuming operation. All too often a book might not be treated because of the high cost. Describes a process that reduces the handling time, and the risk of damage to paper when wet. The idea is based on the principle of the hanging file folder: two pieces of screening are attached along one edge while the opposite edges have strips of rigid material for hanging.
