A zinken, an historical wind-instrument, made entirely of ivory, showed serious damage: cracks and open joints. To connect the separated parts, Araldite AW 106 and the hardener HV 953 U were used. A metal part was repaired with a silver solder. The missing mouthpiece was replaced by a copy. After the restoration the instrument could be used again.
