Abstract

During wool dyeing, chemical degradation of the wool protein is unavoidable. Using twodimensional polyacryamide gel electrophoresis, it is shown that in dyeing under strongly acidic conditions keratins in the micro-fibrils are attacked. In neutral and alkaline dyeing, the matrix keratins are influenced. -- AATA
