Abstract
A study of the two bronze scrolls from the dead sea: their condition, their opening and physical examination, and the preparation of a transcription. The back of the fragile copper plaque was stiffened and bonded with araldite 102. Repairs and stiffening with strips of perspex was carried out using durofix. The scroll was then sawn open. Photographic records were made at each stage.
