Fossil samples from seven geological and radiometrically dated archaeological and paleon-tological sites in the south San Francisco Bay region provide the basis for a feasibility study of amino acid racemization bone dating. Amino acid results and site and sample information are presented in tabular and graphical form to show general relations. The data do not reveal any criteria by which bone samples or amino acid results can be accepted or rejected for dating purposes. However, data are more than comparable to that previously published for a single restricted area and much more experimental work must be done before amino acid racemiza-tion in bone can be used independently to date geological deposits and archaeological materials. -- AATA
