Abstract
Photomacrography differs from photomicrography in respect to the scanning range of magnifications, usually between 1:1 and 20:1. The fully resolved image is being recorded directly in the film plane, without interposing an eyepiece. A zoom instrument, the Wild Heerbrugg PHOTOMAKROSKOP Model 400, with an automatic exposure system is described, maintaining constant working distances and thereby eliminating bellows adjustments. Its resolving power of 600 line pairs per millimeter at highest magnification allows for fast exposures. -- AATA
