Described is the process of designing the display area for the exhibit In the Image of Man, held at the Hayward Gallery, London. Some of the problems incurred during the 15-month assignment are identified: the lay-out of the exhibition rooms, the transportation and handling of the large statuary, picture mounts, and statuary display.
