Abstract
Synthetic aperture radar has been used to map out large areas of the Yucatan Peninsula, indicating the presence of Mayan canals and remnants of raised fields. Its advantages over standard aerial photography as well as its archaeological implications of Mayan settlement patterns are discussed. See also AATA 19-161. -- AATA
