Administration, systematic acquisition, description, storage, research, maintenance,restoration and display of arms collections are considered. Storage in closed cupboards or showcases is urged, to keep the weapons clean, with vertical suspension allowing the best view and access. Firearm locks should be kept in an uncocked position. Disassembly of weapons should only be done by experts and riveted sword hilts should only be taken apart if corrosion is progressive. Photography of weapons should allow subsequent measurement of the weapon from the print. 19 bibliographic references.
