Abstract
Some ultraviolet filters do not reduce the ultraviolet component in daylight to below the accepted museum specification of 75 microwatts of UV per lumen a specification for the transmissions spectrophotometric curves of filters is given. It is recommended that transmissions are recorded before installation to ensure that adequate filters are used. Measurement of UV radiation of UV filters (perspex) plexiglas, polycarbonate sheet polyester films), and transmission spectrophotometry are briefly discussed. Graphs, table references.
