Abstract
An attempt is made to study the technological innovation of Indian dyes. The article contends that the earliest evidence of dyeing in India comes from the Indus civilization (2300-1750 B.C.). Changing techniques for extracting dyes and sources of dyes are also discussed. Dyeing techniques and uses of dyes are also elaborated. -- AATA
