Article describes the ravages of time, war, and vandalism on a number of beautiful monuments and temples of the Khmer Empire. The conservation problems are noted as well as the repairs and restorations that have been made. There is a strong plea made for much more conservation help before it becomes too late to effect a rescue. -- AATA
