Abstract
Preliminary results are presented of a study between vessel function and ratio of rim diameter to vessel height or neck height. While definite clusters of points representing rim diameter and vessel height were found, the extremes of each cluster overlapped. The same was observed for rim diameter and neck height. The author suggests that other ethnographers should collect similar data.
