Abstract
The effect of the chemical-thermal modification on the stress-strain characteristics (elastic limit and rate of change of strain in the second phase of the deformation of wood under the pressure in the radial direction) of the beech splint wood was investigated. The testing samples were impregnated. After the treatment the given characteristics and the oss of mass of wood were determined.
