Too often, little or no though goes into the exhibition of aircraft engine propellers and engines. More thought and imagination is required than to display an aircraft. Exhibitions in contexts rather than simple displays are favored. In an exhibit, pictorial and graphic material are integrated with the object to present technical and historical information, e.g., on engine manufacture, testing, and design. One useful display is a cutaway engine, but the cutaway must be carefully planned and executed. Exhibit techniques for aircraft propulsion systems are really no different from exhibit techniques for other materials. Several examples are presented of aircraft propulsion exhibits made interesting and meaningful.
