Abstract
Storage of motor vehicles requires as much attention as their exhibition. The store should constitute a reserve collection, and it should be clean, well laid out, and well maintained. Means for moving vehicles around are required. For each acquisition, a decision has to be made as to whether it is a piece in its own right or a spare part. Ideally, vehicles in the store should be kept in running order. The public's appreciation of the history of motoring is enhanced through experience riding in old cars. This public good outweighs the disadvantages of having to maintain and eventually rebuild the vehicles.
